What will be taught?

The training of this camp includes: Fundamental Drills, Situational Kicking, Physical Conditioning, Video Analysis, and Recruiting Services, along with Trackman Football Charting.

Place Kicker skills that Will Be Taught:

  • Strong leg for long-distance kicks.

  • Accuracy to make field goals, particularly in high-pressure situations.

  • Ability to kick under varying weather conditions.

  • Consistency is key, especially in the timing of field goal and extra point attempts.

Punting skills that will be taught:

  • Powerful and accurate leg for distance and precision.

  • High hang-time for punts to allow the coverage team to get down the field.

  • Ability to control the direction of the punt (e.g., coffin corner punts to pin the opponent near the end zone).

  • Awareness of game situations to adjust the punt style accordingly.

Long-Snapping Skills that will be taught:

  • Accuracy: The snap must reach the punter or holder cleanly and in a timely manner.

  • Quickness: Long-snappers need to be fast off the ball and provide a quick, accurate snap, even under pressure.

  • Blocking: After the snap, the long-snapper must immediately transition into blocking to protect the punter or holder from defenders.

  • Consistency and focus to avoid bad snaps, which can lead to turnovers or missed kicks.

How will this improve their kicking game?

At camp, you will train on the Trackman Football system, a cutting-edge technology featured on NFL's Sunday Night Football.  Trackman provides real-time analytics such as ball speed, apex, and "good from" distance, to help maximize performance.

A specialized kicking camp can significantly improve a player's kicking game in several key ways. Here's how:

1. Technical Skill Development

  • Form Correction: Coaches at our camps focus on perfecting the player's kicking form, ensuring proper alignment, foot placement, and body mechanics. This can help a kicker become more consistent and increase both accuracy and distance.

  • Footwork Drills: Kicking is about more than just striking the ball; it's about proper footwork, balance, and timing. Our camp emphasize drills that improve a kicker's emphasizes drills that improve a kicker's foot-to-ball contact, directly affecting foot-to-ball contact, which directly affects power and control.

2. Strength and Conditioning

  • Specific Muscle Training: Kicking requires both strength and flexibility, especially in the hips, legs, and core. Camp programs often include specialized exercises that target these muscle groups to increase kicking power, range, and endurance.

  • Flexibility and Mobility: Stretching and mobility exercises are crucial for maintaining fluid motion and preventing injury, especially when performing high-impact kicks like field goals or kickoffs.

3. Mental Toughness

  • Pressure Situations: Camps often simulate game situations, putting kickers in high-pressure scenarios like game-winning field goals or crucial extra points. This helps develop mental toughness and the ability to focus when the stakes are high.

  • Visualization Techniques: Kickers learn how to use mental imagery and visualization techniques to stay calm and confident under pressure, which is crucial for success in high-stress moments.

4. Game Situation Drills

  • Live Simulations: Through drills that replicate game situations (e.g., kickoffs, field goals, punts), kickers get real-time experience and feedback on how to handle various game-day scenarios.

  • Situational Awareness: Camp instructors help kickers understand wind conditions, field position, and time of game—all factors that affect kicking decisions.

5. Personalized Coaching

  • Individual Feedback: Coaches at these camps usually provide tailored feedback to each participant, addressing their specific strengths and weaknesses. This can lead to faster improvements than general team practices.

  • Video Analysis: Many camps use video analysis to break down a kicker’s form and provide visual feedback. This can help identify small adjustments that could have a big impact on performance.

6. Competition and Networking

  • Competition with Peers: The camp provides an opportunity to compete against other kickers, fostering a competitive environment that drives improvement.

  • Networking: Kickers often have the opportunity to connect with coaches, former professionals, or even college recruiters, which can benefit their development and future opportunities.

7. Consistency and Routine

  • Practice Regimen: One of the most important aspects of a kicking camp is helping players establish a consistent practice routine that they can continue to follow after the camp ends. Developing the right habits and focusing on drills that enhance consistency will pay dividends in their kicking performance over time.

Overall, by attending our kicking camp, players improve their technical skills and gain the mental, physical, and strategic tools needed to perform at their best in any situation.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
•    Full Refund (Early Cancellation): If a participant cancels well in advance (usually 30-60 days before the camp), they might be eligible for a full refund, minus a processing fee. This fee is $50.
•    Partial Refund (Mid-Term Cancellation): Cancellations made closer to the camp start date (10-14 days in advance) may only be eligible for a partial refund, 75% of the camp fee.
•    No Refund (Last-Minute Cancellation): If a participant cancels within a few days of the camp or fails to show up, they typically won’t receive a refund. We allow participants to transfer their registration to another camp session, but this is not always guaranteed.
2. Medical or Emergency Cancellations
•    Medical Exemption: We allow a full or partial refund if a participant cannot attend due to a medical condition or injury, but proof (such as a doctor’s note) is often required. In some cases, a participant may be able to transfer to a future camp session instead of receiving a refund.
•    Family Emergency: We will consider refunds or deferments for family emergencies on a case-by-case basis, but this also typically requires documentation or prior communication with camp organizers.
3. Weather-Related Cancellations
•    Inclement Weather: If the camp is canceled due to extreme weather conditions or other uncontrollable factors (e.g., hurricanes, snowstorms), many camps will offer the option of a refund or transfer to another session. This is generally handled on a case-by-case basis and depends on the severity of the situation.
•    Rescheduling: Our camps will attempt to reschedule missed sessions due to weather, but if that’s not possible, a partial refund or credit toward another camp session is sometimes offered.
4. Transfer Policies
•    Transferring to Another Session: If a participant can’t attend a particular camp but still wants to attend a future session, our camps allow transfers, though there may be a fee. The transfer must typically be requested a certain number of days in advance.
•    Transferring to Another Player: In some cases, a participant may be able to transfer their registration to another player (such as a sibling or friend) if they can't attend, but this is not always allowed, depending on the camp's policy.
5. No-Show Policy
•    Non-Attendance: If a participant does not attend the camp without prior notice (a "no-show"), there is usually no refund or rescheduling option. This applies to both full-day and half-day camps.
•    Late Arrivals: Our camps have a policy for late arrivals, which could involve a partial refund or allowing the player to join the camp at a later point. However, being late without prior notice can result in a loss of session time, and no refunds are typically given for missed portions of the camp.
6. Special COVID-19 Policy (if applicable)
•    During the COVID-19 pandemic, our camps implemented more flexible cancellation policies, offering refunds or rescheduling options if participants were unable to attend due to quarantine, illness, or travel restrictions. If the camp is still operating under special COVID guidelines, this may still apply.
________________________________________
Best Practices:
•    Always Read the Fine Print: Before signing up, it’s important for participants to read the cancellation and refund policy provided by the camp. Policies can vary greatly between different camps or organizations.
•    Contact the Camp Directly: If you are uncertain about specific conditions or need clarification on the policy, it's always a good idea to contact the camp’s customer service or administration team directly.
•    Keep Documentation: In case of a medical or emergency situation, make sure to keep any necessary documentation, such as a doctor's note or hospital records, to ensure eligibility for a refund or transfer.
By understanding the cancellation policy upfront, you can avoid potential issues and ensure that any necessary changes to your registration are handled smoothly.
